Proudly Serving Our Veterans

At Loyal Healthcare, everything begins with our Veterans. We partner with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to provide Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations that play a vital role in determining disability benefits. These exams are designed to honor your service by ensuring your claims are handled with accuracy, fairness, and respect.

More than a million Veterans have already trusted us with this important step, and we’re proud that 97% of those surveyed reported satisfaction with their exam experience. That trust drives us to keep raising the bar.

Across the country, you’ll find more than 100 Loyal Healthcare clinics—built to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. Whether you visit one of our clinics or meet with a provider in our extended network, you can expect the highest quality, most comprehensive examinations available.

Our medical professionals take pride in serving you, not just as patients but as fellow Veterans. Many of our team members have worn the uniform themselves, and they understand firsthand the urgency and importance of responding to your needs.

What is a VA claim exam, also known as a Compensation and Pension (C&P) examination?

If you’ve filed a claim with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for disability compensation or pension benefits, VA may ask you to go to an examination as part of the claim process. For disability compensation, this exam helps VA determine if you have a disability related to your military service or if your condition should receive an increased rating due to it worsening. In the case of pension claims, the exam documents the level of your disability. This is known as a VA claim exam or a compensation & pension (C&P) exam.

This exam is different from a regular medical appointment because the examiner won’t prescribe any medicine or treat you – for instance, you won’t receive a referral to a specialist. The examiner will only perform a medical review to identify or confirm any disabilities shared in your claim application. They will record the findings and provide them to a VA claims processor to complete the claim process.
